Iran - A dilemma?

2 questions:
1 - Why is Iran our problem?
2 - Who is threatening who?

This is a diagram of our military bases in the region. I'm sure we would be thrilled if Iran or China or Russia had bases lined up along our northern and southern borders.

Will this madness ever stop?
